Don D'Arminio is a Wilton Manors homeowner and advocate who has called our Island City home for nearly two decades, together with his partner of 30 years, Marc Martorana, and their three rescue pups. A graduate of Montclair State University with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Accounting, Don built a 25-plus-year career as a tax and accounting professional.
Before joining the City Commission, Don spent six years on the City's Planning & Zoning Board, serving as both Chair and Vice Chair.
On the Commission, Don has been exactly what he promised: a fiscal watchdog, an infrastructure advocate, and a full-time presence in the community. Don shows up, listens, and gets it done
As the Commission's resident tax and accounting professional, Don scrutinizes every line of the city budget — voting to fund core services while publicly calling out spending that doesn't serve residents.
With 25+ years as a tax and accounting professional, Don brings real financial expertise to City Hall — demanding strategic use of every tax dollar and pushing back on spending that doesn't serve residents.
Don and his partner Marc regularly open their home to raise funds for local organizations. Over the last fifteen years, they have hosted over 100 events at their home to benefit local 501(c)3 organizations.
Don's priorities are Public Safety, Upgrading aging infrastructure & mitigating flood issues, Fiscal Responsibilty, Responsible Development of main corridors while protecting the integrity of our single family neighborhoods, and Transforming Andrews Avenue (The Ave) into a thriving Commercial District.
Don has received many endorsements in this campaign including Equality Florida Action Pac, SAVE (Sevuring American Values for Everyone); Sierra Club Broward County & Broward, Palm Beach & St. Lucie Realtors.
